Lady Bug Party

The invitations that were handmade by me! Tutorial in the future :)
Just a few lady bugs I cut out to decorate the wreath with that sits in our living room.
1-11 month banner. On the last page I made a list of everyone who attended the party / sent gifts.

There may be a tutorial for this in the future but it's pretty self explanatory. I will also be laminating the pages and making a small book out of it for her to have as a keepsake.

Rice Krispy Lady Bugs that everyone loved. Recipe can be found on any R.K box or online.
Goody Bags with Sweet Hearts that said Love Bug on them. Picked them up the day after Valentines for $.50 per 4 boxes :)

Triple Chocolate and Butter Cream Cupcakes. Tutorial on Lady Bug Toppers to come - easy peasy.
Some of the balloons. The others were on the mailbox. All of these were purchased on eBay.
Smash Cake that didn't get smashed. A friend of ours made it and it turned out amazing!

Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday To You Happy Birthday Sweet Rory Happy Birthday To You!
Taste Test.
She did NOT like the icing on her hands. She didn't eat any of the cake.
Opening up some presents.
Over all, the party was a hit! There were about 25 people between kids and adults. We even had six members from my side drive 10 hrs from Ohio just to celebrate the weekend with their special grand-baby, great grand-baby or niece.

As far as food is concerned, we served kabobs (which is a discussion in itself), shredded chicken sandwiches, veggies, fruits, cupcakes, rice krispy treats, sweet tea, unsweet tea, lemonade, and sodas.

I know Rory probably won't remember all the effort her mommy (and daddy I suppose) put into making her First birthday as great as it could be but that's okay. I know one day she will look back at the 150+ photos from this past weekend and be happy that her parents took the time to devote an entire weekend to her.
