No longer rear facing
Rory was rear facing in her car seat until Saturday. Saturday, I went to a few stores with my SIL and when I put Rory's car seat in my SIL's SUV I put it in forward facing. Rory was in heaven! The entire way to the store her and Cic played peek a boo through their car seats and Rory enjoyed being able to watch where we were driving. It was too cute! I know some of you are probably freaking out right now because Rory is only 15 months old, however, she is not a little 15 month old and I am comfortable with her being forward facing now as is her daddy (it was actually him who brought up the subject of switching her around since her feet were against the back seat). I would have never transitioned her if I wasn't comfortable with doing so but again I / we were. I can just hear the gasps and "Well, they recommend two years old ya know"? coming out of several parents mouths or at least they are thinking it.
Anyway, when I put the car seat back in our car I decided to put it in forward facing (which by the way makes the car look SO much bigger because there is more space!). The only problem we can see right now is that little miss won't fall asleep as easily just yet because there is a lot to see AND she can see us. I think once she is used to being in this direction though she will fall asleep just as quickly as she once did rear facing.
