SAHM
Being a stay at home mom has a lot of duties that come along with it, especially when you are a stay at home mom who watches two other infants and runs an online boutique. I do everything from wiping butts, drying eyes, feeding bottles and cutting up food in little bite size pieces for the kids to eat, oh and did I mention mend booboos and pick up toys multiple times a day (I'm getting to the point where I only do it in the evenings). I also make my husbands breakfast, pack his lunch, lay out his clothes, do laundry, cook dinner (most of the time), do the grocery shopping and schedule needed appointments. Then of course there is the mowing of the lawn, taking out the trash, cleaning house, doing dishes, bathing the dog (this has been neglected badly since the kids are here), bathing Rory, and did I mention that I'm also a student and I make tutus, hair accessories, burp cloths and several other custom items people request?
The list goes on and on and on. It's like that song...This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends....yeah, you know the one I'm talking about if you are old enough to remember Lamb Chops the Puppet. If don't know then you must look it up. Look up Charlie Horse while you're at it...even though you may run across both at the same time. Back to what I was saying though. I am a stay at home mom, I am a very busy stay at home mom but I wouldn't trade it for any job out there. I love being able to stay home with my little girl and have a great opportunity to impact the lives of two other children at the same time.
Yes, I do get tired and yes some days I ask myself why I do all of this when I don't HAVE to. Then I remember it's because I love doing it and I love to stay busy. Life is too short to sit around and do nothing. So while I'm home I'm going to take every opportunity I can get to make my life a little more enjoyable.
