Baby Proof Review

Around the 4th of July I started a book called Baby Proof by Emily Giffin. It was another cheap purchase for $6 at walmart but the story line sounded intriguing on the back cover. It's a story about what happens to the perfect couple when they suddenly want different things, things that are irreconcilable. In the end it was a book about what a person will and won't do when they are truly in love.

Within the first two chapters I knew it would be a feat if I completed the book, I even told my sister in law it just wasn't my style. I just couldn't get into it and could only read one or two chapters at a time before I was looking for a way out. Well, I ended up leaving the book at house and had to begin the other book, Girls In Trucks. I did get the book back a few days later and when I finished with G.I.T. I started back into Baby Proof.

It wasn't until I was a good halfway through the book that I actually started to enjoy reading it. From that point on I was reading it non stop and it did end up being a pretty good story. When it came to the ending I wanted to continue reading, but all good things must come to an end I suppose. Overall for me I would give this book a B- in terms of grades. It was just too slow for me and that made it hard to get into and then the ending of the book was just bad. It's like she couldn't think of anything else to put so she just ended the story. I'm not sure I will read any of her other books even though they have good reviews, I just don't think she is a writer I will enjoy much.
