Is Blue Gender Neutral?

Okay...I had a discussion with the MIL last night for about an hour and the topic of the nursery came up and what I would want to do with it. Well, we have two bedrooms. One is blue and one is green. We have decided that we will put the little one in the blue room because the green room sits by the ally and there are two windows facing it. We just don't want the baby in there even if we are in a safe place.

So here's my question. Do you think blue would be okay if we had a girl? The MIL thinks we should repaint it if it's a girl but I really like the color and I'm not a traditionalist in any way. I just don't see why the room should be pink or yellow or "girly". Here is a photo of what the room looks like...color wise.And below that is what I'm considering doing. I really like the circles. It won't be exactly like it because it's just a bit much for me.

So what do you think? Would it be so bad? 

Also, Baby G has gotten it's first outfit already from Grandma G. and Aunt W helped pick it out. I think it's adorable but I'm not sure he / she will ever get to wear it since it's a preemie size.  Sorry the photo is sort of fuzzy.
