Leg Cramps

Yesterday morning I woke up and did my normal leg, arm stretch routine only to let out a squeal of pain. That's right, my right calf got a cramp and it is probably the most painful thing that has yet to happen to me. It even tops the time I fell off my horse and jammed my lower back.  I'm pretty sure the muscle tightened about as much as it could and all I could do was sit up in bed and try to rub it out. Attempting to point my foot upwards was not an option...I couldn't move my leg! Of course Joshua was still in bed too so he simply asked if I was okay and then apologized when i told him what had happened. It wasn't his fault... I was telling someone at work last night that out of all the sports I have played I have never had a cramped leg muscle and then I go off and get pregnant and here they come. My calf still hurts today and I'm afraid of pointing my foot downward out of fear that I might end up with an even worse cramp than yesterday.

I suppose I shouldn't be complaining though. I have had a very easy pregnancy so far, minus the all day nausea from weeks 6 to 16. We are very blessed to be parents or soon to be parents. If I have to deal with some leg cramps for the next 18 weeks then I will (like I have an option) because the end results are going to be more than worth all of this.
