WetBags

For all of you who don't know, I'm pregnant, I'm 34wks pregnant (well I will be tomorrow). I am also an exclusively breastfeeding momma that cloth diapers (I use disposables too). A few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me if I had ever made my own wetbags and I obviously told her no because I hadn't. The first one I had was purchased from Babies R Us by my mom and then got promptly ruined a few months later in the dryer because I forgot to zip it shut and the material that was used inside melted to the side of my dryer....ZIP THEM SHUT. After that I just threw the diapers in a plastic bag and disposed of it when I got home. When I found out I was pregnant with this one I decided to go ahead and buy another wetbag, so I got on Etsy and found a really nice one at The Perfect Birth. It was a great price and I'm looking forward to using it. Actually the same friend purchased one recently as well and it seems to be working out great.

Anyway...this post isn't about my past wetbags, it's about the one I MADE myself today. It was more challenging than I thought it would be for two reasons, 1) I had never put a zipper on anything in my life and 2) PUL is sort of tricky to sew. In the end however I ended up with a nice looking, although very simple, wet bag.

If you can't tell, those would be little grey, black and blue giraffes! I just couldn't pass up this print when I found it. Perfect for our little guy who will be here in 6 weeks (maybe less)!
