39 Week Appt - Last Day as a Family of Three
Today is the last day we will be a family of three. The last day we will only have to worry about one child eating, sleeping, using the restroom, crying, playing and being clean - amongst other things. We have been so blessed these last two years with Rory. She's an amazing little girl and we are really looking forward to all the adventures a little boy will bring into our lives just as she has.
As for my appt today, I am now 3 cm dilated and 70% effaced, meaning I'm ready to go for sure. My dr is very pleased with the way my cervix is doing and say's that I'm "ripe". Makes me feel like my vagina is some sort of fruit every time he says it. Tomorrow morning I have to be at the hospital around 6:45am CST. The doc told me to go ahead and get an epidural because he doesn't think the contractions are going to be very friendly with as big as the boy is. I will have to admit that the ones I've been having have not been enjoyable and I'm sure the pitocin will not make them any better tomorrow. We will see how things go however and how soon he breaks my water. I DO plan to get an epidural though, it was a life saver with Rory.
Joshua will be dropping me off and then coming home to make sure Rory is ready to stay with her Nini for the day. I'm hoping to have little brother early enough in the day that Rory will get to meet him before she heads to bed for the night.
Well, here's to tomorrow!!

so exciting! I'm really jealous! Funny thing to be jealous about given that I'm sitting here listening to Huck beat his crib against the wall and scream while he refuses his afternoon nap... We would love to do anything we can to help. Call us!
ReplyDeleteYou guys will have another and it will come a lot faster than you think! I can't believe two years has already passed since Rory was born!!
