Updated Nursery Photos

I know some of you liked the bookshelf instead of dresser idea that I had done in our nursery. Well after my baby shower I sort of ran out of room so I had to buy another bookshelf - only a big one. LOL. So the room has changed a little bit. Here is what it looks like now.

I love the bookshelves - things are so much easier to store on them and she will be able to use them as she gets older.
Oh and I also found out last night that my family may not be able to make it here until the end of the month :( As disappointing as that is it may be better for them simply because she will be about two weeks old and hopefully Joshua and I will be on some sort of routine with her. Plus it would give his family time to get out all of their excitement so that my family can spend as much time with her as they like without worrying about the inlaws. My grandma and mom were really looking forward to being here right after she was born though so who knows what will happen. Either way everything will work out. It will be nice to see my family whether that's next weekend or the end of the month. Who knows, by the end of the month we might be so sleep deprived that we go stay in a hotel and let them keep her full time while their here. ;)

  1. Alright I had found a dresser I loved and it is currently not available (I know I have time but I hate when I can't do things on my time line lol) so what do you have your totes labeled?

  2. 1- Gowns
3- Sleepers - and I have them divided between the thick ones and not so thick ones.
1- Shoes - I got a lot of infant shoes from people.
    1- Swaddlers
    2- Cloth Diapers
1- Hair accessories - headbands and clips
    1- Burp Cloths / Bibs
    1- Hat, gloves, booties
1- Toys -- Like the chew toys and rattle toys

In the 4 polka dot bins on top of the left bookshelf I have her socks and tights. I have that divided by white socks, thick patterned socks, thinner patterned socks and tights.

On the big bookshelf I have the disposable diapers and wipes, blankets / sheets, bath supplies and health / first aid kits. The bottom two shelves will be used for her books.

I also have a three drawer plastic thing in my closet that has her pants and diaper covers to outfits in it.

Everything else is hanging in order of size. I even hung up her onesies.

I just like the setup because I can see everything and so can others if they need to get her something while watching her - say grandparents. :)

  4. No problem :) You just kind of have to go with what will work for you. We have basically zero closet space so I had to come up with something.
