Busy Bee

Between working on the future house (by future I mean - in 13 days we are supposed to be in), keeping our current place clean, taking care of Rory, Joshua and Roscoe (I kind of let myself go), trying to pack up our place and loads of other things - this momma has been BUSY.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being busy but I wish I could spend more than 2 hours at a time over at the house because things would get done SO much quicker.

I bet you are wondering what all I have accomplished over there since I began on September 27th. Well, here's my list.

Accomplished
*Vacuumed everything! However, this will need to be done again before carpet gets laid next week.
*Pulled up carpet and padding. (Joshua helped with this)
*Fill and sand holes in the walls
* Fixed gutters and down spout (Father-in-law did this when I wasn't there one day)
*Painted living room, guest room, Rory's room and hallway walls.
* Purchased new cabinet handles for less the $12 on eBay! AND the vendor sent me 12 extra handles for FREE since I didn't purchase enough and they hadn't been shipped yet. BTW - I only shorted myself 4 handles so it was awesome to get the extras at no additional cost. At wally world these exact same handles cost $5 for two! I needed 28 of them so I got a steal!

To Do
*Paint Kitchen, master bedroom, two bathrooms, five closets, like 10 doors (not sure exactly how many and they all need stripped down and sanded as well) and trim throughout entire house.
*Gut main bathroom or at least the floors by tub and toilet (waiting on pro to come in and see)
*Fix wood under three sinks (handy man is doing this)
*Clean mold out of master bath shower
*Buy carpet (The mother in law and I are going on Saturday to do this!)
*Clean Gutters
*Fix front door threshhold
*Fix two screen doors (handyman)
*Fix wooden beam on back porch (handyman)
*Buy cabinet door hinges
*Clean and paint cabinets (they are pretty icky)
*Paint doorbell box in hallway. (It's sort of retro and I don't want to get rid of it. LOL)
* Fix thermostat in hallway

I know there is more to this list. I just can't think of them right now! But as you can see we have our work cut out for us!

I did get to take a short break from all of this work though. Rory and I went with Joshua to his reserve weekend and while we were there we got to spend a lot of time at the Missouri State Park in Knob Knoster. We had a lot of fun and I got some good photos of her. :)

It was a wind tunnel in there. She loved it though!

Daddy even got to take his lunch with us and spend a little bit of time at the park as well.

God Is Good.
