Packing Up

For the last few weeks I have been gradually taking a car load at a time over to the other house. This morning I was actually at the other house for about an hour when little miss decided she wanted to go "bye bye". *sigh* I wish I could spend more time there but I have to work with what I got. ANYWAY, since I'm at home I decided to start packing up more of the items that we aren't currently using. I started with the kitchen closet / pantry / whatever it's supposed to be (we use it for storage). All I have to say is there was A LOT of things in there! Who knew you could fit so much into such a little area?! The good thing is now all my Christmas stuff will be over at the other house - including the gifts. :) Next will be the clothes that we don't wear on a daily basis or that we can live without for two weeks.

You know, in a way it's sad to be leaving the duplex. It's where I have spent all of my time since moving to Springfield. This two bedroom, 1 bath has become our home - the place where Joshua and I have grown to know one another. However, I am excited for the extra space that the new house will bring. We will create new memories there and right now we don't plan on staying there for more than a year or two. I suppose you can say this is a stepping stone to owning our own home. I had better get back to packing. Only a few days left until the big move.
