1. Americans will celebrate Labor Day this coming weekend. Do you know what we're actually celebrating? (without consulting your friends Google or wikipedia, ahem) What's a project you're currently 'laboring' over?
I actually do know what Labor Day is about! It's celebrating all the hard work that American's do. Right now I'm not working on any projects but I do have a few classes I'm taking!
2.
Labor Day also signals the unofficial end of summer for most of
us...what summer food will you miss the most? If you're in the southern
hemisphere feel free to substitute winter for summer.
I will probably miss fresh corn the most. There is nothing like a roasted ear of fresh corn.
3. A well known proverb states, 'It's easier to seek forgiveness than ask permission.' Your thoughts?
I agree! LOL. I am really bad about asking permission to do a lot of things, especially when it comes to something I want. I'm working on this though!
4. Food critic, film critic, book critic, art critic....which hat would you most like to wear?
I would like to be an art critic I think. I could go to art shows all over the world and just stare at sculptures, paintings, drawings, etc all day. I would not enjoy sitting through a terrible film, reading a boring book or eating something that could possibly make me vomit!
5. When you were a kid, who (besides your parents) was your favorite adult?
My Jr. High Choir teacher! She was / still is an amazing person. She helped me in a lot of ways.
6. The astronaut, Neil Armstrong,
passed away last week. He was regarded as a hero by many generations
of people all around the world. Do we still have modern day heroes?
What makes someone a hero?
I personally believe we still have lots of heroes. Soldiers, police and firemen are all examples of people who risk their lives daily, what more could qualify a person to be a hero than that?
7. I never get tired of __________________.
Hearing my daughter's laugh. It's the most precious sound in the world to me.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm currently trying to catch up on the show The Secret Life of the American Teenager! It's pretty much the only thing I watch on a regular basis. Anyone else watch this?
I love to see a menu posted : ) I was just wondering what in the world to make for dinner...seeing what other people are cooking gives me some inspiration.
ReplyDeleteChildren's laughter=best sound ever!
Thanks! We never do anything fancy since it's just a small family and we are on a TIGHT budget :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise to click on your blog to read the Hodgepodge and hear Luke Bryan! I love country music!
