Wednesday HodgePodge
For the last several weeks I have been reading some questions from my friends blog over at Quiet Moments and I have decided to do them for myself. The original blogger of these questions comes From This Side Of The Pond.
Enjoy Your Wednesday All!
1.
Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state. Have
you ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a hibiscus to
tuck behind your ear?
I have never been to Hawaii, nor has the husband but we would love to go one day. The husband's best friend lives there. We have on several occasions talked of moving to Hawaii but it will probably never happen.
As for the flower, either would work for me, I like them both.
2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage made with pineapple?
I'm not much into pineapple so I haven't tried many things with this fruit. I suppose Pineapple upside down cake is really the only food that comes to mind for me that I enjoy besides fresh pineapple itself.
3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain.
Yes and no. I think that people are meant to be together but does it have to do with our souls, I'm not sure. I know I was drawn to my husband for some reason (we met online). We have been together 5yrs now and spent pretty much every day together since the day we met.
4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in.
I grew up in a few different houses but the most memorable one would be from the one we lived in while I was in high school. It was a place that anyone could come out to for any reason. We threw parties and we took in friends that were having issues with the parents. It was a place of love and understanding. You could talk about anything there and not be afraid of being ripped apart or criticized for it.
5. Are you comfortable with silence?
When I'm alone I love silence to an certain point. Sometimes there is just a creepiness to too much silence and then when you have a toddler silence takes a whole new meaning! Either you are thrilled to having a sleeping child or you are running through your house trying to figure out where they are and what they are tearing apart!
6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move? (all spiders are giant, right?)
I will generally just find something to kill it depending on the type of spider. Daddy long legs don't bother me so much. The husband on the other hand hates all spiders so I just get rid of them all.
7. My idea of fun does NOT include ______________.
Sitting at home watching movies. My husband is a total homebody and doesn't like to go out much. I on the other hand love to be out and about, not going to dance clubs or anything but just getting out of the house.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Today has been a good day and the weather is fantastic! I love that fall is right around the corner :)
I'll never forget getting stuck in your driveway, in the snow, in the dark! lol
ReplyDeleteLOL! OMG, that too! I don't think anyone will forget that.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about cuddling up at home and watching a movie. But going out and having fun has a lot of perks too!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE fall weather too :) I am with your hubby on this one - I love being home. Thankfully my hubby agrees with me (most of the time anyway). Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Hodgepodge! I'm glad you played along today. We're always on the go it seems so being home is a nice treat. If we're home too many weekends in a row my hubs starts to pace : ) Fall is my favorite season too...I love the colors, the temperature, fires in our firepit and Tennessee football!
