Gluten Free Strawberry Dump Cake

I found a dump cake recipe over at crockpot365 yesterday and knew I had to try this out asap. So when I went to the grocery I grabbed my box of cake mix and two cans of strawberry pie filling. This morning I threw all of it in the crock pot which took all of 5 minutes and then waited 2 1/2 hours for it to finish up. It's very simple and yummy. Would make a terrific addition to ice cream or frozen yogurt!

Ingredients

2 (21-ounce) cans pie filling (cherry, strawberry, apple....)

1 (15-ounce) box cake mix (we are gluten free, so that's what I use, but you don't have to.)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted (salted or unsalted....we did unsalted)
1 tablespoon water

Dump your pie filling in the bottom of your crock pot.
Mix together cake mix, butter and water. It will turn into a crumbly type substance. Basically you are just wetting all of the cake mix.
Dump cake mix over pie filling evenly.
Cover, and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, or on low for about 4 to 5 hours. You will know when it's done when you can touch it and it doesn't stick to your fingers like uncooked batter does.... Uncover, and continue to cook on high for another 30 minutes or so to release condensation.

Letting the condensation disappear....filling will seep over sides of cake.
