Quick Tips
If you're like me you're always looking for a way to save a few bucks. Last summer I made a post about using baby food jars as travel size snack containers. Today I'm recommending the bouillon cube containers. They are a great size. I use them to take along applesauce and other snacks for Rory. Currently I have one filled with Oikos yogurt and blueberries for her and another is filled with pizza sauce we didn't use with our pizza bites.
Sorry for the blurry photo. My camera just hasn't been the same since it took a swim in the dog water. |
They really are perfect. I mean, you pay $2 for the full glass container and then when they are gone just wash it and there ya go, another things to store items in. It doesn't have to be food either, it could be crafts or money or whatever it is you need stored. Plus the lids screw on so miss Rory hasn't figured that part out just yet ;)
And another topic I want to discuss today is frozen blueberries covered in yogurt. SO SIMPLE! Basically you just cover the blueberries with yogurt and stick them in the freezer. I put mine on a cookie sheet to freeze but you can use whatever. Below is what they look like frozen and they are a healthy snack for anyone in the house. Rory seems to really like them.
I only made 7 today incase they weren't a hit with the little one. |
