We want to move

The hubby and I have been talking about moving to our own farm for at least three years now. We have found several that could possibly work but we never take the time to go out and look at them. With Joshua being the only worker in our house I think he is afraid of taking on a house payment. Right now we live in a duplex that his second cousin owns and his dad takes care of. We pay $400 a month and his dad pays utilities. We have been truly blessed to be here. Even when we went to IL for a year his dad kept the place vacant for us to come back to.

Anyway, yesterday we took a family trip the park down the street and Joshua asked me what I wanted to do with our lives. The only answer I had for him is that I want to move and own our own farm. I told him I don't care if we move out of state or even out of the country, I just want our own place. I want a place Rory can grow up with animals as we both did. After our park adventure we came home and I began searching online (as I always am) for a farm anywhere in the country - even in Nicaragua where Joshua mentioned. (His mothers side of the family have lived there and in Costa Rica for about 50 years as Baptist Missionaries) Well I came across several that I liked but there was always something about them - price, not enough land, too far from where he works (if around here), crappy house, crappy land - you get the point. I had searched for a good three or four hours before coming across 179 Lindley .

This farm is in a great location. Far enough from the interstate yet very close to it and the small town of Buffalo. It has 55 acres and a little 2 bedroom home that's about 973 sqft AND it has all new fence which is a big deal. I quickly showed Joshua and we pulled up the property on Google Maps. We have a basic idea of what the land looks like from the map and photos given but we aren't 100% sure where the property line ends. After his approval I sent a request for more info. We would really like to see photos of the house and plot map. So here's hoping the realtor has some! Below is some basic info on the rooms in the house.

Room Dimensions / Floor Coverings / Location

Kitchen: 11' 6" x 10' Wood

Dining Room: 11' 6" x 10' Wood

Living Room: 14' x 11' 6" Wood

Master Bedroom:15' x 11' 6" Carpet

Bedroom 2: 11' 8" x 11' 6" Carpet

The Mr. and I have a lot of thinking to do. We are very tight on money and even if we offered less our payments would still run between $800 and $1000 a month. Oh the life of being a grown up.
