37wk appt

Just got back from my appt. I'm still 1cm dilated but am now 68% effaced and he said he could feel her head really well. And not only did I get checked by him I also got checked by a PA student right after he checked me. He was making sure she knew how to do it and I got to be the test person. Good thing the checks don't bother me. Next week the NP will be checking me again. I'm still measuring at 34wks so that's three weeks in a row that that hasn't changed and her HB was 149. On top of all of that I lost 2lbs this last week. :) At my last appt I had gained 4lbs so I'm thinking some of it was probably water weight. So right now I'm sitting at 159lbs which makes it + 29lbs.

He also asked me today if I was going to be induced or wait it out and I said I would like to wait her out and he said well don't wait too long. (He's really wanting me to be induced) I told him that if she isn't here by 40wks then we can induce but I see no reason to do it before then if everything is okay. He of course turned around and looked at his calendar as if to make sure it wasn't on a weekend or something. LOL. I am however going to talk to Joshua about everything tonight - for real. It might be better for us financially if I'm induced at 39wks. That way Joshua can still make his reserve weekend the 12th and 13th and in turn he will get paid for that.

Anyway, I went on to tell the doc again that I am not wanting an epidural and he again asked if I wanted to be in pain. So he apparently thinks I should get one. I went in today with my birth plan and after him trying to get me to decide on being induced and the epidural I decided I wasn't even going to talk to him about it because he is clearly one that thinks you should get meds and be induced to make his life easier. I will just hand it to the nurses at the hospital and say this is what I want. Anyway...that's my appt. I go back on Wednesday.
