Day 9 Husband Challenge
So I've been doing the 30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge for nine days now and I have to admit it's a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Most of it focuses on just being positive to and about your husband and the last two weeks couldn't have been harder for me to be that way! I guess God knew I was going to need some real encouragement when he allowed me to stumble across the challenge.
Here is today's.
Be swift to hear, slow to speak. (James 1:19b)
We are often so busy speaking that we don't take time to listen. We are so quick to offer a comment—negative or positive—that we don't really "hear" our husband's heart.
Remember: we have two ears and only one mouth. We need to listen more!

How many times before have I heard this? SEVERAL. I guess we will have to see what the day holds after the hubby gets home. I better be prepared for lots of listening ;)
Have you started your 30 day challenge yet? If so, how is it going? If not, you should definitely consider doing it! Everyone (especially our loved ones) enjoy a positive thought now and then.

LOL!!! This is the same verse the kids and I have been memorizing this week for their basketball...I have to repeat it 6 times every day. Do you know how hard that is to do with a straight face! Good word, so proud of you. And what a blessing for Josh. Thank you.
